Red, White and Brew!

As this Independence Day is quickly approaching, Celebrate Fairfax, Inc., are excited to be working in coordination with the Workhouse Arts Foundation to host their inaugural Workhouse BrewFest, which is set to take place on Saturday, August 13th, 2016 at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, Virginia!

The historic site will spotlight over 45 craft brews from Northern Virginia and throughout the Commonwealth. Additional craft brews from the region, including DC, Maryland, and West Virginia will also be selected for the event.

Among all of the craft beers will be craft beer-focused exhibits, gourmet food trucks, workshops and interactive displays. The Festival will also highlight more than 20 performances and demonstrations on 3 stages, with an exceptional line-up of popular regional performers, 45+ craft breweries, cideries and wineries and engaging programs like the “Workhouse Brew of the Year.”

Also, with the 4th of July weekend coming rapidly, here are a couple ideas of things to do this weekend in Fairfax County!

Join the Celebrate Fairfax! Festival Team!

Volunteers come and join us in celebrating the 35th Annual Celebrate Fairfax! Festival held on June 10th-12th, 2016 at the Fairfax County Government Center. Volunteers are essential for the event to run smoothly, and without the help of more than 1,500 volunteers to run the gates, stages and logistical operations the event would not be possible.

Interested in volunteering at the 2016 Festival? Just register online at our website, Volunteer for one 3-4 hour shift and receive a Celebrate Fairfax! t-shirt, free admission for the day, a coupon for free beverage and snack as well as a chance to win great raffle prizes!

Returning to the festival includes: the Silent Disco, Children’s Avenue, Fairfax County Dock Dogs Championship and more than 140 live performances on eight stages! This year’s headliners for the Bud Light Main Stage include: Plain White T’s, The B-52’s, and Living Colour.
